NJDOE Services

Recognized by the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE), New Age Behavior provides specialized services to public schools, charter schools, APPSDs, non-public schools, and in-home settings. Our programs are designed to ensure comprehensive support for educational institutions, families, and local governments, promoting meaningful behavioral and academic progress for children on the autism spectrum.

Our Models of Success

New Age Behavior delivers BCBA-led, NJDOE-aligned programs through flexible school-based, center-based, and in-school models. These services focus on stabilizing behavior, supporting IEP goals, and facilitating smooth transitions to the least restrictive environments. Our goal is to create individualized, data-driven plans that allow students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Self-Contained Classroom Model

Our self-contained classroom model provides a highly structured, BCBA-led environment designed to stabilize student behavior while addressing individual educational and behavioral needs. Instruction and interventions are grounded in ABA principles, supported by continuous data collection to monitor progress and refine behavior intervention plans. Students receive intensive behavioral support while gradually increasing their tolerance for academic demands, peer interactions, and group activities. A multidisciplinary team—including BCBAs, RBTs, and Child Study Team members—collaborates to ensure programming aligns with IEP objectives. As behavioral stability improves, students gradually expand academic instruction and functional skills to promote independence and reintegration into less restrictive school-based settings.

Independent Child Study Team Services

Push-In-Push-Out Model

Our Push-In-Push-Out model provides flexible, clinic-based ABA intervention while intentionally generalizing skills into school and community environments.

Push In

Students receive targeted support within a structured clinical setting, focusing on regulation, communication, compliance, and coping skills.

Push Out

As stability improves, supports are extended into schools and community settings to promote independence, peer engagement, and functional skills.

Flexible Support

When challenges arise, services can be pushed back in without regression, ensuring consistent progress through data-driven decisions.

Staff Support Model

In our Staff Support Model, BCBAs and RBTs work directly within school settings to strengthen staff capacity and support students in real time. Clinicians provide behavioral coaching, implement and refine behavior intervention plans, and model effective ABA strategies for teachers and paraprofessionals. On-site supervision, data collection, and consultation ensure interventions are applied consistently, improving student outcomes and reducing staff burnout.

This collaborative approach builds sustainable behavior management skills among school personnel while addressing behavioral challenges where they naturally occur.

  • Real-time behavior intervention
  • Staff coaching & modeling
  • Data-driven decision making

TJ Gavor, NJDOE Coordinator, BCBA, & Social Worker

“I’ve worked with students who were completely disengaged from school and districts that felt out of options. With the right BCBA-led support and a clear plan, we’ve seen students stabilize, re-engage, and return to classrooms successfully. Our role is to bridge the gap by supporting schools, honoring IEPs, and helping students find their way back.
